Neocaridina shrimp is a dwarf species of tropical shrimp. This listing is for neocaridina with a prominent red (cherry) colouring.
They are peaceful bottomfeeders that breed readily in clean water. They can be housed with other peaceful community fish. Be careful about which fish you keep with neocaridina shrimp, as they are easily preyed upon.
Cherry shrimp are great animals for a nano aquarium; a group of 10 cherry shrimp would easily be able to live in a 5-gallon aquarium. They prefer slightly cooler water (low 70s). The most important part of keeping them is to keep the water parameters stable.
These animals are very sensitive to poor water quality, or unstable water parameters (particularly the blue varieties). Only add them to fully cycled aquariums.
