The Hengeli Rasbora (Trigonostigma hengeli), also known as the Glowlight rasbora, is a small species of rasbora. These little fish are semi-transparent with a bright black and orange spot on their sides that extend as a stripe towards their tails.
This beautiful nano-fish will rarely grow longer than 1-inch from nose to tail. These fish should be kept in shoals of at least 3 members, though show the most interesting behavior in groups of 6+. A very small group of 3 can be kept in a 5-gallon comfortably, but a larger group should be kept in at least 10 gallons of water. These fish do best in water temperatures between 74-84 degrees Fahrenheit and require a pH between 5.0-7.5.
These fish are exceptionally peaceful and are not known to nip other species. They can be kept with any other peaceful aquatic animal. Examples include guppies, platies, small tetra species, small barb species, dwarf gourami, and corydora catfish. Always research the compatibility of the animals you wish to keep together.
